Being on staff at a small, independent monthly like Newsline allowed Talib to (or perhaps demanded that he) write a variety of different pieces, from small reviews of city happenings in Karachi to feature articles on Pakistan’s television industry. Most of his writing since 2006 has been at this newsmagazine.

But before that, he wrote for a handful of other Pakistani publications and freelanced in Canada doing features for both trade and consumer titles on marketing, technology, nature and health issues.
